My dad would turn in his grave! Kent police have arrested a nineteen year old man for posting a picture of a burning poppy on Facebook. The whole point about the poppy and 'Remembrance' is supposed to be that we give thanks to the memory of those who died for freedom in two world wars.
Being free means being free to be an idiot, being free to reject the hypocrisy of others, to reject the tyranny of the majority.
The most useful resistance to such bureaucratic insanity is for everyone to step forward and re-post the same picture.
